Short version: Regatta Mark does not collect, transmit, store on our servers, or sell your personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Everything the app records stays on your own devices.
Information we collect
None. We operate no servers and have no way to receive your data. The app works entirely on your device.
Location
Regatta Mark uses your location to do its job — calculating boat speed, course, and the bearing, distance, and VMG to race marks, and to keep these updating in the background for Lock Screen Live Activities while you race. Your location is processed on your device only. It is never sent to us or to any third party.
Data you create
Race marks, regattas, set courses, timer settings, and recorded races (GPS tracks and mark roundings) are stored locally on your device. If you use both an iPhone and an Apple Watch, this data syncs directly between your own devices using Apple's on-device device-to-device connectivity — it does not pass through any server we control. You can delete this data at any time by deleting it in the app or removing the app.
Maps
Screens that show a map use Apple Maps (MapKit). To render maps, Apple may receive the information it needs to provide that service, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive any of this information.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
Children
Regatta Mark is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we never collect or receive your data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete. Your data is yours, on your devices, under your control.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app changes what data it handles, we will update this page and the "App Privacy" details on the App Store before that version ships.
